| W10 Lecture - 
What is After Effects?

- An animation software used for animation, visual effects and motion picture compositing.
- Used in film, TV, and web video creation
- Used in the post-production phase :
    - has hundreds of effects that can be used to manipulate imagery  
    - allows you to combine layers of video images into the same scene.

- Motion graphic animation works by manipulating vector / rasterised work to create a story

Pre compositing in Adobe Photoshop
- Transforming still images (graphic elements and photography into moving images.

Compositing Layers in Photoshop -

    - All the layers need to be arrange and renamed accordingly so that it will be organize and easy to be animated in

     After Effects

- Animating layers sequence from various elements and platforms

Compositing Layers in After Effects -

    - Adobe After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application.

    - Basically we can import elements such as images, video, vector and more into After Effects. 

    - All the layer elements need to be organized and synchronized to the external software platforms such as Photoshop & Illustrator. 

    - After Effects files does not embed its media, it links to it.

- Final developments for Project 2B
- Brief for final project (animation)

- After feedback in class, I was told to emphasis my focal point [photography]; which in my case would be the little girl running in the field - too bring more attention to the photography aspect rather than the illustrated flowers surrounding her.


- Englarged the focal point (kid)
- Pushed surrounding elements to the side & made small adjustments to their scale so the subject pops more
