In this weeks' class, we chose our final version of our physical collages from the 3 we had made previously, and will start a digital collage.
Final Physical Collage -
Fig. 3 Final Composition |
In this collage, the main topic was about food, with the centre point being food flowing into a mouth accompanied by a colourful and fun background. This displays my 'fave food' (working with the food elements I had), so the bright colours and other objects in the composition highlight the joy of the favourite foods, providing an overall fun and enjoyable feel.

After finalising the physical composition, we started on digital collages using photoshop. Utilising the elements Mr. Fauzi gave us we have to make 3 collages;
Composition #1:
Reflects the subject of 'fish out of water', where there are distorted buildings and things people usually see on a day-to-day basis as not how they're supposed to be, and fish to add the unusual and quirky effect.
Composition #2:

Fig. 5 Second Composition |
Is essentially about man-made productions, where the composition revolves around a train and people walking, and is then surrounded by tall and geometric buildings, as well as some of the earlier man-made inventions like a projector and a typewriter - also displaying how far we have come in technology.
Composition #3:

The final composition follows the golden ratio, which is also visibly implemented into the visual, where the people are flowing in that direction, whilst walking on buildings and floors, creating a surreal vibe, accompanied by rough, textured backgrounds.
