This is a poster by Brigh Test, where it displays an inspirational concept with blooming flowers and captivating typography. I was drawn to this poster from the metaphorical concept, as well as the bright and contrasting colours, and different text format and styles.
This Poster expressed :
- A positive message about growing through words and bright / bold element choices.
- Flowers blooming as the main subject, accompanied by a contrasting blue sky, highlighting an aspect of the intended message and creates a positive feel.
- Interesting typography style that is captivating and whimsy.
This poster on food safety appealed to me through the busy and intricate design, as well as the attention-grabbing colours that are extremely vibrant, which at first did not strike me for a food poster which made it more interesting.
This Poster expressed :
- Awareness on chemicals present in foods in China, promoting food safety.
- Detailed and vibrant impressions of vegetables.
- Bold typography revolving around chemical vernacular, that contrasts with the bright design.
- Unsuspecting and unique food poster with a unique style.

This is a Jazz poster by C. Longo & D. Trench, where the vibrant and lively colours and strokes drew me to the work, as well as the variety of shapes and lines making the background very busy and free, imitating jazz music.
This Poster expressed :
- The word Jazz is the theme and main subject of the poster.
- Bright colours and unique / individual lines and strokes where it builds the composition and leaves a contrasting outline of the word 'jazz' - encapsulating the main subject.
- Abstract / impromptu strokes of the background give life and emotion to the poster and what it advertises.
- Black typography expressed to distinguish itself from the rest of the composition
