Colour Theory
- Colour theory explains how humans perceive colours, and the messages they communicate artistically and emotionally.

- RGB : Red, Green, Blue
            - Colours displayed on screens
            - Created by mixing red, green, and blue light sources with various intensities

- CMYK : Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black
            - Primary colours for printing
            - Colour is created by the subtraction of light

- Hue : Denotes an objects colour
- Shade : a hue to which black has been added
- Tint :  a hue to which white has been added
- Tone : A colour which black, white, or grey has been added.

- Analogous : 3 colours located next to each other on the wheel.
Complementary : Colours opposite on the wheel
- Split Complementary : Involves the use if three colours; starts with one colour - finds its complement, and then use the two colours on either side of it.
- Triadic : Evenly spaced colours around the wheel and are bright / dynamic

Psychology of Colour
- While perception of colours are subjective, some effects of colours are universally recognised.

- Warm : often evoke feelings of happiness, optimism and energy // or signal danger; attention grabbing effect.
- Cold : Calming and soothing // also express sadness

[Part 2] - WEEK 7
    - Sketches
    - Development

Sketches -
Sketch #1 :

Sketch idea #1 & Digital Sketch #1

- First idea is based off of the previous week's moodboard; a collage including elements of nature and humanoid elements.

- Trying to express the renewal of life by encouraging the connection of nature and humans.

- Will utilise real / stock photographs of the elements for the design.

Sketch #2 :

Sketch idea #2 & Digital Sketch #2

- This idea reflects the duality between life, the life we have created and the life we have when reconnecting with nature.

- Showcases a cityscape and a shining lamp-post, which displays another version of our world

Sketch #3 :

Sketch idea #3 & Digital Sketch #3

- Displays the twin-towers in Malaysia (landmark) being surrounded by photoshopped flowers, taken inspiration from the second moodboard.

- Reflects popular landmarks retouching with natural states, to express the renewal of life by using monumental landmarks that represent humanity, while integrating a surreal-esque feel with the flowers to express other life apart from humanity.

Sketch #4 :
Sketch idea #4 & Digital Sketch #4

- Utilises mandala to display the message - mandalas are a symbolic representation of the universe (Blume, n.d.)

- Showcases a human figure being the centre, with natural objects revolving around it.

Sketch #5 [Final Idea] :

Sketch idea #5 & Digital Sketch #5

- A mix of Sketch 2 & 3, where it utilises the concept of the lamppost shining an alternate reality, and the use of landmarks and cityscapes covered in flowers and nature.

- Showcases a human life reimagined by connecting with nature.
